The Karmapas, whose line of reincarnations dates back to the 12th century, have always been among the most outstanding masters in Tibetan Buddhism. This film affords an insight into the Karmapa’s life from 1994 to 2008.

Gyalwa Karmapa's Teaching and Empowerments in KIBI, March 4 - 10, 2009

The 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinle Thaye Dorje, who had just returned from his spectacular travel to Hong Kong, offered again a week-long course with teachings and empowerment for an audience of international students at his Karmapa International Buddhist Institute, New Delhi.

Gyalwa Karmapa visited Hong Kong, 2009

H.H. the 17th Karmpa Trinley Thaye Dorje visited Hong Kong for his first time 28 years after the visit of H.H the 16th Karmapa. His Holiness was delightfully received by thousands of people during his stay in Hong Kong from Feb 3 to 16, 2009.

Kagyu Monlam in Bodh Gaya, 2008

There was a Kagyu Monlam in Bodh Gaya with the presence of Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje, Shamar Rinpoche and many other high Lamas of the Kagyu Lineage again this year from December 1st to 7th.

In November 2005 it was possible to make new official portraits of Gyalwa Karmapa. The photos were taken in his private shrine room in Kalimpong, India.
